If you've been following my #artgirlsummer you know that I've been selling prints and drawings at festivals in Buffalo and Pittsburgh this year. However, this is the first time I've released any original paintings from this series. The work in this collection, "Home And Other Horizons," started as a way to keep sane during the "stay at home orders" of 2020 but has grown and intertwined with my architecture practice to explore what it means to be at home. Significantly as an African American woman in a country determined to put one in the margins. This work centers on my lived experience, even if it is quite ordinary ... mostly.
